Industrial Design Technology Students Create The Set For Phashion Phest 2008

Industrial Design Technology (IDT) students in the Environment Design class, under the supervision of IDT faculty member Wendy Byar, created the set designs at Phashion Phest 2008, held at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel on September 22, 2008.

On the night of the event, the set designs were used during the Phashion Phest cocktail reception and fashion show.

The Phashion Phest experience presented the IDT students with an opportunity to work on a project that gives them real-world experience and which will help prepare them for their future careers in the field of industrial design.

The students worked closely with Sharon Phillips Waxman of SPW Productions to create backdrops that would complement the "comic book" theme of this year's show.

Several Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing students also helped out during Phashion Phest, preparing gift bags to be distributed to guests or serving as greeters the night of the event.
